The weekend after Thanksgiving I was challenged by dear friends to join their efforts in the fight against injustice and human trafficking around the world by wearing a dress every day in December to help raise awareness and funds.

For a typical woman, this most likely doesn’t feel too hard. For me, the invitation left me laughing and shaking my head that it wasn’t possible for me, the one who hates dresses, to actually wear a dress every day for a whole month. Crazy!

Well…somehow I was convinced to jump on board and make history. Today is the 13th day in a row that I have had either a golf skirt or dress on. And I’m still alive and well. 🙂

Besides desiring to help our Red Tent Living Team (redtentliving.com) reach our $10,000 fundraising goal, I also have been asking the Lord to change me as well during this month. In the places where I have felt great ambivalence over my femininity, I long to be settled and comfortable in my own skin as a woman – whether I’m in my golf shorts or in a beautiful black dress. As I near the halfway mark…I think He is listening.

More updates will follow…but here are the first two weeks of pictures. More information can be found here: https://support.dressemberfoundation.org/fundraiser/851399
